Under the 'Tribhuvan' Sahkari University Act, 2025 (in force since 6 April 2025), IRMA has been established as the 'Tribhuvan' Sahkari University (TSU), a Government-declared Institution of National Importance. IRMA continues to operate its existing rural-management programmes as TSU's 'Centre of Excellence for Rural Management,' under its existing website, contacts, and branding.

The non-refundable application fee is Rs. 2,000 for General/EWS/OBC candidates and Rs. 1,000 for SC/ST/PwD candidates. Candidates in the BPL category are exempted from paying the application fee on submission of a BPL certificate in the prescribed format.
