Admission to the B.Tech programme at IPS Academy is based on a candidate's JEE Main score, followed by centralised counselling conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Department of Technical Education (MP DTE). Candidates first register on the MP DTE online counselling portal, fill and lock their preferred college and branch choices, and are allotted seats across two or more counselling rounds based on their JEE Main rank, category, and the choices submitted. Seats vacated after each round are carried forward to the next round of counselling.

Admission Process at IPS Academy, Indore
Admission to the MBA programme requires a valid CMAT score, followed by MP DTE counselling for management seats, while MCA admission considers a candidate's graduation marks (with Mathematics as a subject at the graduation or 10+2 level) alongside MP DTE counselling for computer-applications seats. M.Tech admissions are based on a valid GATE score, or on the institute's own postgraduate entrance test for candidates without a GATE score, subject to seat availability in each specialisation.
Undergraduate programmes such as B.Sc, BBA-HM, BCA, B.Com, B.Ed and B.Pharm generally admit students on merit in the qualifying 10+2 or graduation examination, subject to each programme's minimum eligibility percentage. Reservation follows Madhya Pradesh government norms: 90% of seats are reserved for MP-domicile candidates, while 5% are set aside for NRI candidates and 5% for the All-India quota; separately, 30% of seats across categories are reserved for female candidates, in line with state government policy for technical education.
- JEE Main / CMAT / GATE scorecard, as applicable to the programme
- Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and passing certificates
- Graduation mark sheets and degree certificate (for PG programmes)
- Domicile certificate (for Madhya Pradesh state quota)
- Category / caste validity certificate, where applicable
- Passport-size photographs
- Provisional or final MP DTE seat allotment letter
- Transfer certificate and migration certificate
Candidates can also seek admission through the Management Quota or College Level Counselling for eligible seats in several programmes, where the applicable fee is generally higher than for seats filled through regular MP DTE counselling. Once a seat is confirmed, candidates must report to the institute with original documents for verification and complete the fee payment within the notified deadline; the applicable course-wise fee is detailed on the course fee structure page.
Admission timelines vary by programme and are published afresh each academic year on the official MP DTE and institute websites. B.Tech counselling under MP DTE typically runs through June and July across multiple rounds, MBA counselling follows a similar window shortly after, while B.Pharm, BBA and B.Arch admissions generally stay open through August and September, and B.Ed and B.Com admissions are usually completed earlier in the cycle, around May and June.
Candidates evaluating their admission chances at IPS Academy should also check the institute's recent JEE Main and MP DTE closing ranks for their target branch and category, along with available scholarship options that can meaningfully reduce the effective cost of the programme over its full duration.
