ITM University Gwalior offers a layered scholarship policy for 2026-27 that combines entry-level concessions, merit-based waivers, need-based support, performance awards and special category benefits. The merit-based scholarship is the largest regular concession, with waivers up to 60 percent for academic excellence. To keep it, a student must stay in the same academic performance band with no backlogs, and the benefit can move to a lower category if performance declines. Special category concessions include 10 percent for military wards, 10 percent for siblings, Rs. 10,000 per year for alumni and benefits for staff wards as per the university policy.
All scholarships carry general conditions. Students need at least 75 percent attendance, no academic backlogs, satisfactory performance and good discipline and conduct. The early bird and entry-level concessions apply only in the year of admission, and the ITM NEST concession cannot be combined with other university scholarships. Note that some third-party portals describe an academic merit waiver of up to 100 percent for students scoring above 75 percent, but the official policy page lists up to 60 percent, so the official figure should be treated as final.
Government scholarships are separate and must be applied for on the National Scholarship Portal or the relevant state portal within the annual deadline. Students from SC, ST, OBC and other eligible categories can claim central and Madhya Pradesh schemes, and Collegedunia notes that students may stack government support with university concessions where rules permit. A government freeship card is not accepted directly for fee payment, so students may need to pay first and claim reimbursement later.
Families should also compare the net cost after concessions with the expected salary. For example, a B.Tech CSE student with a 25 percent first-year concession still pays the remaining years at the full rate, so the total saving is smaller than it first appears. Detailed course-wise amounts are available on the fee structure page, and the admission process page explains how early confirmation affects eligibility.
