JPIAMS operates the JP Ayurveda Hospital & Research Institute, a 100-bed super-specialty Ayurvedic hospital registered under the Clinical Establishment Act. It has 9 specialised OPDs, IPD wards, an Operation Theatre (Ksharasutra), a Labour Theatre, full Panchakarma Therapy Sections for male and female patients separately, NICU, Emergency, a Diagnostic Block (ECG, X-ray, Sonography, Clinical Lab), Physiotherapy Centre, and a Dispensary providing free medicines. Free food is provided to indoor patients.

Admission to the BAMS programme is through NEET UG, conducted by NTA. After results, eligible candidates participate in Bihar UGMAC (AYUSH) counselling conducted by BCECEB (Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board). Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English, with minimum 50% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC).
