The academic model at KSV is built around the constituent colleges, each of which focuses on a specific stream such as business administration, computer studies, commerce, science, pharmaceutical education or social work. This allows a student to join a college with a clear departmental identity while still benefiting from the shared university framework for examinations, syllabus, research degrees and student services. The university follows the grade system recommended by the UGC and has aligned its programmes with the National Education Policy.
Several constituent institutions of the university are accredited by NAAC with a B++ grade, and courses in some institutions have also received accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation. The university's approach to learning combines classroom teaching with seminars, assignments, group discussions, quizzes and poster presentations, so that students are assessed on a mix of skills rather than on a single end-term examination.
Student support is organised through a number of cells and centres, including the Industry Institute Interaction Cell, the Women Development Cell, the Women Entrepreneurship Cell, the Anti-Ragging Cell, the Sports Cell and the LAKSH fitness cell for students. A centralised library, laboratories for science and pharmacy programmes, separate hostels for boys and girls, and a transport facility from Ahmedabad complete the campus experience. The Gandhinagar campus is well connected with Ahmedabad, and students from North Gujarat find the Kadi campus convenient for their studies.
Applicants should note that every programme has its own eligibility rules, seat intake and fee, all of which are decided separately for each constituent college. You can review the programme-wise tuition and examination charges on the KSV Gandhinagar fee structure page before shortlisting a college.
