Admission Process at Kadi Sarva Vishwavidyalaya

Eligibility at a Glance

  • BBA, BCA and B.Com: Class 12 pass from a recognised board with English as a subject

  • MBA: graduation with the minimum aggregate marks prescribed, along with a valid score in a management entrance test such as CAT, MAT, CMAT or GCET
  • M.Sc and M.Com: bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline
  • Ph.D.: postgraduate degree with at least 55% marks (relaxation for reserved categories) and the university research entrance test

For doctoral programmes, the university conducts its own entrance test with a minimum passing mark of 50%, and shortlisted candidates appear before the Research Degree Committee for an interview. Candidates who have qualified UGC-NET, CSIR-NET or SET, or who hold an M.Phil. degree from KSV, can be exempted from the written test subject to verification of documents.

Documents Usually Required

  • Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and passing certificates
  • Graduation mark sheets for postgraduate and doctoral applicants
  • Leaving or transfer certificate and migration certificate where applicable
  • Entrance test scorecard for MBA and other programmes that need one
  • Category or caste certificate and income certificate for scholarship or reservation benefits
  • Passport-size photographs and identity proof

Students who have been allotted a seat are expected to report to the college within the notified dates, verify their original documents and pay the first instalment of tuition and examination fees. Once the admission is confirmed, the student becomes part of the university's examination system and receives the enrolment details needed for internal assessments and end-term examinations.

Admission to professional programmes such as engineering and pharmacy normally follows the centralised admission committee of the Government of Gujarat, and candidates should therefore follow the notifications issued by that committee along with the college notices. Management aspirants should keep their entrance test score ready, because the colleges that run MBA and MCA programmes consider such scores during the selection process.

Application windows change every year, and some programmes remain open for a limited time after the first round of admissions. Applicants are encouraged to keep a copy of the application form, the fee receipt and all certificates in a single folder. You can also look at the admission cutoff page to understand how competitive different programmes have been in recent years.
