Admission to KL University's B.Tech programs is primarily through KLEEE (the university's own multi-phase entrance examination), with JEE Main, JEE Advanced, AP EAMCET/EAPCET, TS EAMCET and other state CETs also accepted; lateral entry into the second year is available via KLECET or AP ECET for diploma holders. MBA and other PG management admissions go through KLMAT/ICET (CAT, MAT and XAT scores are also accepted), pharmacy admissions through KLNEET, and the BBA-LLB program through KLHAT, CLAT or other recognised Law CETs. Selected candidates go through the university's online counselling process to confirm branch and campus, with the 2026-27 cycle including spot counselling being conducted across multiple Indian states per the official homepage. A one-time, non-refundable admission fee of Rs. 16,000 applies at the time of admission, and merit-based fee concessions/scholarships are applied based on the qualifying exam rank or academic percentage (see the Scholarships section).
