KMCMC was founded by the Shanti Foundation, a Gorakhpur-based trust established on 1 February 2012. Chairman and MD: Vinay Kumar Srivastava. Dean: Dr. Sankalp Dwivedi. The college was inaugurated by CM Yogi Adityanath in 2024.

KMCMC has a 20-acre college campus at Village Kandh, Maharajganj. The teaching hospital (KMC Digital Hospital) at Village Mahuwa, Rudrapur, Maharajganj, has 665+ beds with 24x7 emergency, ICU, NICU, OTs, MRI, CT, USG, and blood bank. Ayushman Bharat empanelled.
