KIMS Kodagu is a fully autonomous government medical college established by the Government of Karnataka in 2016. There is no NRI or Management quota — all 150 MBBS seats are filled through KEA (Karnataka State Quota, 85%) and MCC (All India Quota, 15%) at government-regulated fees.

PG (MD/MS) seats span 15 specialties with a combined intake of approximately 60 seats — including Anaesthesiology (6), Orthopaedics (6), OBG (6), General Surgery (5), Community Medicine (4), Forensic Medicine (4), Microbiology (4), Physiology (4), Pharmacology (4), Biochemistry (4), Paediatrics (3), Anatomy (3), ENT (3), Ophthalmology (2), and Pathology (2).

MBBS tuition fee is approximately ₹59,850–₹64,350/year (Karnataka Government norms 2024-25). Total tuition for 4.5 academic years: ~₹2.69–₹3.03 lakhs. Hostel fee extra (₹10,000–₹30,000/year). Intern stipend: ₹30,000/month.
