Courses Offered at K.R. Mangalam University

Beyond B.Tech, the university offers BCA programmes (including AI & Data Science and Cyber Security tracks), B.Sc. (Hons.) degrees in Computer Science, Cyber Security and Data Science, and postgraduate MCA programmes, including an MCA (AI & ML) track. Outside the School of Engineering and Technology, KRMU also runs management programmes (BBA, MBA), law (LLB, LLM approved by BCI), pharmacy (approved by PCI), and architecture (approved by COA). Applicants should check current-year admission eligibility criteria and seat availability directly with the university, since intake numbers and specialisations are reviewed periodically.

Fees vary meaningfully by specialisation: as per the university's official fee structure for academic year 2026-27, the plain B.Tech CSE track costs around Rs. 2.5 lakh a year, while specialised tracks such as CSE (AI & ML) or CSE with Cyber Security/Full Stack/Data Science support are priced somewhat higher, and BCA and B.Sc. (Hons.) programmes are priced lower. Programme fees for subsequent years may increase by up to 10% per annum. Prospective students are advised to check the latest official fee notification and review category-wise entrance cutoffs before applying.

Each B.Tech specialisation follows a common core in the first two semesters, covering programming fundamentals, engineering mathematics, physics, and design thinking, before students branch into their chosen specialisation from the second year onward. Roughly 15% of total programme credits are allocated to project-based learning, giving students repeated exposure to building and deploying real software systems rather than relying purely on classroom instruction. Labs supporting these programmes include dedicated computer labs, a programming lab, a computer networks lab, a DevOps and automation lab, a mobile application development lab, and a Centre of Excellence in AI & ML.

Beyond engineering, KRMU's School of Management and Commerce offers BBA and MBA programmes with specialisations spanning marketing, finance, human resources, and business analytics, while the School of Legal Studies runs BCI-approved integrated law programmes. The School of Pharmacy offers PCI-approved B.Pharm and D.Pharm courses, and the School of Architecture and Design runs a COA-approved B.Arch programme. Students comparing multiple schools within the university should weigh differences in fee structure, industry tie-ups, and placement history across departments, since outcomes and costs can differ significantly between, say, engineering and design programmes even within the same campus.

Lateral entry options exist for diploma holders and B.Sc. graduates wishing to join select B.Tech and BCA programmes directly into the second or third year, subject to eligibility norms set by the university and the affiliating regulatory body for that programme. International students can also apply through KRMU's separate international admission track, which follows a distinct document and eligibility checklist compared to the domestic KREE-based process.
