Prakash Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (PIMS), popularly known as PIMS Sangli or PIMS Islampur, is a private medical college established in 2016 under the aegis of Prakash Shikshan Mandal. The institution is located in Urun Islampur on the Islampur–Sangli Road, Taluka Walwa, District Sangli, Maharashtra, approximately 10 kilometres from Sangli city and 12 kilometres from Sangli Railway Station. It is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik, and recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC), New Delhi. Founded with a mission to transform students into able and talented clinicians during their most formative years, PIMS Sangli has rapidly grown into one of the prominent private medical colleges in the Sangli–Kolhapur belt of Maharashtra.
