Admission Process at Presidency University Bangalore

The eligibility bar for B.Tech is a 10+2 (PUC) pass with Physics and Mathematics compulsory, plus one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Electronics, Computer Science, IT, Informatics, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics or Business Studies, with a minimum of 45% aggregate in PCM (40% for SC/ST and other reserved categories in Karnataka) and 60% aggregate overall. Some sources note that the School of Computer Science & Engineering applies a slightly higher 55% aggregate bar and the School of Engineering applies 50%, so candidates targeting a specific school should verify the exact cut applicable to their chosen branch.

For M.Tech admission, eligibility is a bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) or equivalent in the relevant engineering field with at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST and reserved categories), along with a valid score from a State or Central entrance examination, GATE, or the university's own qualifying test — one of these is stated as a prerequisite for admission.

A separate management-quota (institutional) admission route exists alongside the entrance-based routes, along with a lateral entry option into second-year B.Tech for eligible diploma holders. The university notes that admissions generally begin around December-January for the following academic year, and applicants can typically expect a response within about 15 working days of application receipt.
