Prof. Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) University, Prayagraj (PRSU), formerly known as Allahabad State University, is a State University established on 17 June 2016 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, and renamed in 2019 in honour of Prof. Rajendra Singh, popularly known as "Rajju Bhaiya". The University's Main Campus is located at Mirzapur Road, Naini, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh - 211010. The University was accredited with NAAC Grade A in its first cycle of assessment in 2025. It presently comprises 36 University Teaching Departments functioning under 07 Faculties (Arts/Social Sciences, Science, Commerce & Management, Agriculture, Law, Pharmacy and Computer Science), and is affiliated with more than 765 colleges spread across four districts - Prayagraj, Kaushambi, Pratapgarh and Fatehpur - of the Prayagraj Division of Uttar Pradesh. Nearly 5.65 lakh students pursue education under the academic umbrella of the University every year across its campus and affiliated colleges. The University offers undergraduate, postgraduate, integrated and doctoral programmes in Arts, Science, Commerce, Management, Law, Agriculture, Computer Science, Social Sciences, AI and Data Science, and Vocational Studies/Skill Enhancement, in line with UGC and National Education Policy (NEP) guidelines. On the University Campus, Professional Programmes (MCA, LLM, MBA, MBA in Public Policy and Governance, various M.Sc.(Ag.) specializations, B.Pharm., BA-LLB (Honours), BBA, BCA, B.Sc.(Ag.) Honours, and the Integrated M.Tech. (B.Tech+M.Tech) in AI & Data Science) are offered admission through the University's own Common Entrance Test (CET), conducted in offline MCQ mode with no negative marking, followed by two-stage counselling (online seat allotment and document verification at the allotted institution). The campus has academic buildings, laboratories, conference and seminar halls, a Central Library, computer labs, an IT Centre and Media Studios. Facilities also include Boys' and Girls' Hostels, indoor and outdoor Sports facilities, an Athletics Association, a Health Centre with Hospital and Gymnasium, NSS, NCC, Rovers and Rangers units, and a Guest House. A Career Counselling and Guidance Cell, Placement Cell and Alumni Cell support students' career planning, skill development and placement needs.
