Yes, REC Kannauj is a fully residential campus. It has five hostel blocks for both boys and girls with all basic amenities. The hostel fee is Rs. 12,000 per year plus a mess advance of Rs. 18,500 per semester.

Admissions are through UPTAC (UP Technical Admission Counselling) based on JEE Main scores. Lateral entry in 2nd year is available for diploma holders through UPTAC.

As per official fee structure AY 2025-26 (reck.ac.in): 1st year total = ₹60,000 (₹40,000 admission fee + ₹5,000 refundable caution money + ₹1,000 student welfare + ₹1,000 alumni fee + ₹13,000 user charges). 2nd, 3rd and 4th year = ₹54,000/year each. Total 4-year fee = ₹2,22,000. FW (Fee Waiver) students pay ₹20,000 in 1st year and ₹14,000/year from 2nd–4th year; total ₹62,000. Hostel fee: ₹12,000/yr + ₹18,500 mess advance per semester + ₹2,000 caution money (1st yr) = ₹32,500/yr. AKTU exam/enrollment fee paid separately.

REC Kannauj offers B.Tech in four branches: Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, and Civil Engineering. Each branch has an annual intake of 60 students.
