Candidates searching for an SSIM Hyderabad cutoff should understand at the outset that the institute does not publish a hard closing percentile for any of its PGDM programmes. Admission is institute-level and profile-based, so there is no single number below which an application is automatically rejected and no centralised counselling round that produces a published closing rank.

Cutoffs for PGDM Admission at Siva Sivani Institute of Management Hyderabad
The institute accepts a wide set of entrance examinations: CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA, GMAT, TS ICET and other State Government management entrance tests. Any valid score from these examinations qualifies a candidate to apply, which removes the barrier faced by applicants who did not write CAT or who are applying in a later admission round.
| Percentile Band | Indicative Standing | Scholarship Linked |
|---|---|---|
| 90 and above | Strong candidate, top merit award | Rs. 90,000 |
| 85 - 89.99 | Competitive | Rs. 80,000 |
| 80 - 84.99 | Competitive | Rs. 70,000 |
| 70 - 79.99 | Admissible with good profile | Rs. 60,000 |
| 60 - 69.99 | Admissible with good profile | Rs. 50,000 |
| 50 - 59.99 | Lower end of admissible range | Rs. 40,000 |
The most reliable public indicator of the percentile range SSIM works with is its own merit scholarship grid for the 2026-28 batch, which is percentile-linked and begins at the fiftieth percentile. Since the institute structures financial awards down to that level, it follows that candidates from roughly the fiftieth percentile upwards are within the admissible range, with higher percentiles improving both the admission prospect and the scholarship quantum. This table is an indicative reading of that grid and not an officially published cutoff.
Selection weightage is distributed across several components rather than resting on the entrance score alone. Shortlisting considers the entrance percentile together with Class X, Class XII and graduation marks and any work experience. Shortlisted candidates then submit a Statement of Purpose and a Video Introduction, followed by a micro-presentation, a group discussion and a personal interview. A candidate with a modest percentile but consistent academics, relevant work experience and a well-argued Statement of Purpose can therefore compete effectively against a higher scorer with a weaker profile.
For the FPM and EFPM doctoral programmes the qualifying requirement is different: a Master's degree with at least sixty per cent marks together with a valid UGC-NET score or the institute's own research aptitude test, a research proposal and an interview with the doctoral committee.
Stage-wise selection details are set out on the admission process page.
