The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the provisional answer key for NEET UG 2026. The exam was held on May 3, 2026, and the answer key covers all four test booklet codes — 11, 12, 13, and 14. Students who appeared in this year's exam can now download the answer key, tally their responses, and get an early read on their expected score before the official result is out.

NEET UG 2026 carries 180 questions for a total of 720 marks. The marking scheme is straightforward: +4 for every correct answer and –1 for every wrong one. Unattempted questions carry no penalty. Use these figures to calculate your raw score. Once you know your likely score, you can use the NEET UG College Predictor on CaderaEdu to check which MBBS or BDS colleges you stand a chance of getting into based on last year's closing ranks and your category.
The provisional answer key is not final. NTA gives students a window to raise objections against any answer they believe is incorrect. If your objection is accepted after expert review, the final answer key will reflect the correction — and scores are recalculated accordingly. Missing this window means you cannot dispute the answer later, so check each question carefully and file challenges before the deadline closes.
After calculating your score, the next step is planning your counselling strategy. CaderaEdu's free NEET UG College Predictor uses real MCC and state counselling data to show which colleges match your rank. If you're aiming for postgraduate seats in future, the NEET PG Predictor is also available. For a detailed breakdown of how NEET ranks are calculated and what scores translate to which AIR ranges, read our NEET 2026 Rank Predictor Guide.
