Background: Why a Stray Vacancy Round Was Needed

The stray vacancy round fills seats that remain empty after the regular rounds. OJEE scheduled the Round 3 allotment results for 9 October 2026, then published the final reported candidates list and the vacancy position after Round 3 on 17 October. NEET UG 2026 itself was re-held on 21 June after the 3 May exam was cancelled.

Who Can Participate in the Stray Round

  • Candidates who are not holding any seat, either in All India Quota or State Quota, are eligible.
  • Candidates registered in earlier rounds who got no allotment, or withdrew before Round 3, need not register again but must fill fresh choices as per the available seats.
  • Candidates allotted a seat in OJEE Round 3 who did not report are eligible.
  • Candidates already admitted are not eligible, and this includes admission through MCC at the end of Round 3 and its stray round, or through OJEE at the end of Round 3 including upgradation.
  • Participants must give an undertaking that they will not take part in any other MBBS/BDS stray vacancy counselling at the same time.
