The qualifying cutoff percentile for NEET UG remains fixed every year. However, the actual cutoff score in marks changes based on exam difficulty, number of candidates, and seat availability. Re NEET 2026 Expected Topper Marks

Based on previous year patterns, the top score in Re NEET UG 2026 is expected to be between 686 and 720 marks. In 2024, 17 students scored a perfect 720 out of 720. In 2025, the top 10 scorers had marks between 675 and 686, largely due to a more difficult paper. Experts believe the 2026 highest score will be close to 700, though a perfect score remains possible. Re NEET UG 2026 Tie-Breaking Criteria

When two or more candidates score the same marks, NTA applies a tie-breaking mechanism to assign different ranks. The criteria are applied in the following order.

  1. Higher marks in Biology (Botany and Zoology combined).
  2. Higher marks in Chemistry.
  3. Higher marks in Physics.
  4. Lower number of incorrect answers in the complete test.
  5. Lower number of incorrect answers in Biology, then Chemistry, then Physics.
  6. Random process guided by an independent expert committee if the tie still persists.
