The Directorate of Medical Education, Government of West Bengal, has issued a fresh revised tentative schedule for Round 3 and the Online Stray Vacancy Round of West Bengal NEET UG Counselling 2026. The notice is dated October 12, 2026, and it is signed by the Director of Medical Education, who is also the Chairman of the West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC). It applies to State Quota, Private Management Quota and NRI Quota seats.

As of October 13, 2026, Round 3 reporting is under way and has been extended to October 15. Online registration for the stray vacancy round now takes place on a single day, October 16, and the stray round result is due by 12 noon on October 23. The notice again describes the schedule as tentative.

West Bengal NEET UG 2026 Revised Schedule: Latest Update

The new notice replaces the timetable released on September 17, 2026. Round 3 has since moved through registration, verification, choice filling and the result, which WBMCC published on October 8 after 4 PM. The latest changes affect the final days of Round 3 and the whole stray vacancy round, including the registration day, the fee window and the choice filling hours.

All timings are as per server time. Registration is open for only nine hours on a single day, so candidates should keep their documents ready before the portal opens and avoid the last-hour rush. The notice says verification does not apply to NRI candidates, who are asked to read Notice Point No. 3 for further details.

How to Register for the West Bengal NEET UG Stray Round

  1. Open the official WBMCC portal and log in to the NEET UG 2026 counselling section.
  2. Wait for the stray vacancy registration link to open at 11 AM on October 16.
  3. Fill in the registration details and complete registration before 8 PM on October 16.
  4. Pay the online fee between 11 AM and 12 midnight on October 16.
  5. Attend verification in the designated college and time slot on October 17, from 9 AM to 4 PM. NRI candidates are exempt, as per the notice.
  6. Check the verified list and seat matrix after 5 PM, then fill and lock your choices from 6 PM on October 17 to 10 AM on October 18.

Documents to Keep Ready

  • NEET UG 2026 admit card, scorecard and rank letter.
  • Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and certificates.
  • Residence or domicile proof, as required for state quota seats.
  • Category, EWS or PwD certificates, where claimed.
  • Allotment letter, fee receipts and the college bond, as required.
  • Server-generated relieving letter and returned fee documents, for upgraded candidates.
  • Photo identity proof and passport-size photographs.
