INI-CET

Eligibility Criteria
MBBS from NMC-recognized institution; 1-year compulsory internship completed by 31 March (January session) or 30 September (July session); valid registration with NMC/State Medical Council; INI-CET score (minimum 50th percentile General; 45th percentile SC/ST/OBC/PwBD)
Admission Process
Biannual admission (January and July sessions). (1) Apply via AIIMS exam portal (aiimsexams.ac.in); (2) Generate Unique ID (basic information & code generation); (3) Appear for INI-CET exam (offline/pen-paper based); (4) Result declaration; (5) INI-CET counselling via AIIMS portal – Mock round, Round 1, Round 2, Open/Stray round; (6) Select AIIMS Rajkot and preferred specialty during choice-filling; (7) Document verification and admission at AIIMS Rajkot.

Important Notice

INI-CET is conducted for admission to MD/MS/MCh(6 yrs)/DM(6 yrs)/MDS programs at all AIIMS, JIPMER, PGIMER, and NIMHANS. No state quota; all seats via central INI-CET counselling. PG residents receive stipend of ~₹67,700/month (Junior Resident Academic) as per 7th CPC norms. Application fee: ₹1,700 (General); ₹1,600 (OBC-NCL); ₹1,000 (SC/ST/PwBD).

10+2 with PCB & English; minimum 50% in PCB (General/EWS); 40% (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD); age ≥17 years by 31 December of admission year; Indian National or OCI/PIO (treated at par with Indian nationals); Foreign nationals apply through diplomatic channels
Admission Process
Strictly centralized counselling by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) at mcc.nic.in. Steps: (1) Register for NEET UG (neet.nta.nic.in); (2) Qualify NEET UG; (3) Register for MCC AIQ counselling; (4) Fill AIIMS Rajkot as choice during choice-filling; (5) Pay seat acceptance fee (₹1,700 for General/OBC; ₹1,000 for SC/ST/PwBD); (6) Report to AIIMS Rajkot with all documents for verification. NO direct or management quota admission. All 50 seats via AIQ MCC counselling – 4 rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Mop-up Round, Stray Vacancy Round.
