Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT), established in August 1979, is one of Karnataka's oldest and most prestigious private engineering institutions. For KCET, the annual fee is approximately Rs. 1,07,495; for COMEDK it is approximately Rs. 2,81,088 per year; and management quota ranges from Rs. 2,00,000 to Rs. 4,50,000 per year. PG admissions are through Karnataka PGCET, GATE, KMAT, and MAT. BIT's placement record is outstanding. In 2024, the highest package in the B.E. department was Rs. 58 LPA, the average package was Rs. 10 LPA, and 528 students secured offers. In 2025, the placement cell facilitated 644 offers from 125 companies with an 85% placement rate for eligible students. Top recruiters include Boeing, Dell, MathCo, Oracle, Amazon, NVIDIA, IBM, PhonePe, Cognizant, Accenture, CGI, Cisco, and Bosch.
