The undergraduate BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) with 100 annual sanctioned seats is a 5.5-year programme — 4.5 years of academic study across MUHS Nashik-prescribed professional years, followed by a 1-year compulsory rotatory internship at the attached BMAMH Medical Science & Research Hospital, Nandanwan. The postgraduate MD/MS Ayurveda programme is of 3-year duration, open to BAMS graduates with a valid AIAPGET rank. PG seats are distributed as 70% State Quota, 15% Institutional Quota, and 15% All India Quota via AACCC. Both programmes are governed by NCISM regulations and MUHS Nashik curriculum requirements.

BMAMH Nagpur maintains all 14 departments prescribed by NCISM (formerly CCIM) for a BAMS programme, each with dedicated laboratory or clinical infrastructure. Pre-clinical departments — Rachana Sharira (Anatomy), Kriya Sharira (Physiology), Dravyaguna (Pharmacognosy), Rasashastra & Bhaishajya Kalpana (Pharmaceutics), Rognidana evum Vikriti Vigyana (Pathology & Diagnostics), and Agad Tantra (Toxicology & Medical Jurisprudence) — each have dedicated subject-wise laboratories and departmental museums supporting practical and visual learning. Clinical departments — Kayachikitsa (Internal Medicine), Panchakarma, Shalya Tantra (Surgery), Shalakya Tantra (ENT & Ophthalmology), Prasuti Tantra & Stri Roga (Obstetrics & Gynaecology), Kaumarabhritya / Balroga (Paediatrics), and Swasthavritta (Preventive & Community Medicine) — are operational in the attached BMAMH Medical Science & Research Hospital.
