About Birla Global University
Birla Global University (BGU) is a self-financed, unitary private university located at IDCO Plot No. 2, Institutional Area, Gothapatna, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Established under the Birla Global University Odisha Act, 2015, it was set up by the Birla Academy of Art & Culture, founded by Basant Kumar Birla (1921-2019) and Sarala Birla (1923-2015), successors of G.D. Birla. The university is governed by a Board of Governors chaired by Smt. Jayashree Mohta and is led by Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Kulbhushan Balooni.

Yes. Birla Global University is a self-financed private unitary university established under the Birla Global University Odisha Act, 2015. It is included in the UGC list of universities under Section 2(f) and is authorised to award degrees under Section 22 of the UGC Act. Its 5-year integrated BBA LL.B (Hons.) is recognised by the Bar Council of India.
For 2026-27, the MBA (Marketing, Finance, HR, Operations, Digital Marketing & Business Analytics) costs Rs. 2,75,000 per semester, or Rs. 11,00,000 for the 4-semester programme. MBA Business Analytics is Rs. 3,50,000 per semester (Rs. 14,00,000 total) and MBA Financial Technology is Rs. 2,00,000 per semester (Rs. 8,00,000 total). A one-time registration fee of Rs. 15,000, refundable security deposit of Rs. 10,000 and medical insurance of Rs. 3,000 per annum are extra.
Per semester fees for 2026-27 are: BBA (Hons.) Rs. 1,00,000; B.Com (Hons.) Rs. 77,500; B.Sc. Economics (Hons.) Rs. 50,000; BA JMC (Hons.) Rs. 75,000; BCA (Hons.) Rs. 65,625; BBA LL.B (Hons.) Rs. 1,00,000; and B.Tech CSE / CSE (AI & ML) Rs. 1,31,250. Multiply by the number of semesters (6 for 3-year programmes, 8 for B.Tech, 10 for BBA LL.B) for the total tuition.
The MBA has an intake of 235 seats, MBA Business Analytics 95 seats and MBA Financial Technology 25 seats. Other intakes include BBA 175, B.Com 70, BBA LL.B 60, B.Tech CSE 60, B.Tech CSE (AI & ML) 60, MCA 40 and BCA 40.
