Grant Government Medical College (GGMC), Mumbai — popularly known as Grant Medical College — is one of the oldest and most prestigious medical institutions in Asia, established in 1845 by Sir Robert Grant, the Governor of Bombay. Located at J.J. Marg, Nagpada-Mumbai Central, Off Jijabhoy Road, Mumbai — 400008, it is affiliated to MUHS Nashik, recognized by NMC, and administered by DMER, Government of Maharashtra. Ranked 7th among Indian medical colleges by Outlook India (2019) and The Week (2019), and 53rd overall in India / 2nd in Mumbai by Collegedunia (2025), GMC Mumbai is a flagship institution of Maharashtra's medical education system. The college offers MBBS (250 seats), MD/MS (234 seats across 21 disciplines), DM/M.Ch Super Specialty (17 seats across 7 disciplines), B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. PMT, and other paramedical programmes.
