Placements at IIM Rohtak

Recruiters from past placement seasons include Amazon, Accenture, Deloitte, EY, KPMG, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Aditya Birla Group, HCL Technologies, Flipkart, Paytm, Vedanta and JSW Group. The roles offered cover consulting and strategy, finance and banking, sales and marketing, product management and IT operations, and general management and human resources. This mix lets students match their electives and summer projects with the sector they wish to enter.

The two-year PGP includes a summer internship between the first and second years. The internship gives students corporate exposure, often leads to pre-placement offers and helps recruiters assess candidates before final placements. Preparation support during the first year includes résumé workshops, mock interviews, guest lectures from industry leaders and alumni interactions, which together help students approach recruiters with confidence.

Applicants should keep in mind that placement outcomes depend on the batch, the economic climate and the individual student's performance. Compensation figures differ across domains, and the average package is a better indicator of the typical outcome than the highest package. The placement report published by the institute for each batch should be read in full to understand the domain-wise split and the recruiter list.

Students who join the Integrated Programme in Law or the executive programmes follow separate career routes, since these programmes are not part of the PGP placement process in the same way. The Doctoral Programme prepares scholars for teaching and research careers in universities and institutes, and it does not offer direct placement assistance.

Students should also use the first year to build skills that recruiters look for, such as spreadsheet modelling, structured problem solving, clear communication and teamwork. Participation in case competitions, club activities and live projects adds practical evidence of these skills to a résumé, and it helps candidates stand out during group discussions and interviews held by visiting companies.
