Admission Process at KLS Gogte Institute of Technology

The seat matrix is divided between government-quota seats, COMEDK seats and institutional seats, which is why the same branch can carry different fees for different students. Government-quota candidates pay the lowest tuition, while COMEDK candidates pay the notified consortium fee. Candidates should register, enter options in order of preference, pay the allotment fee and then report to the institute with original documents within the schedule announced by the counselling authority. Because rounds are time bound, missing a reporting date can lead to cancellation of the seat.

  • 10+2 mark sheet and passing certificate
  • KCET or COMEDK UGET rank card and allotment order
  • Class 10 mark sheet as proof of date of birth
  • Caste and income certificates where applicable
  • Study and residence certificates for Karnataka candidates
  • Transfer certificate and migration certificate
  • Passport-size photographs and identity proof

Architecture admission requires 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry, Biology or a technical vocational subject, a minimum of 50 percent aggregate and a valid NATA score alongside KCET or COMEDK counselling. Bachelor of Design admission is also handled through counselling, with specialisations in communication, fashion, industrial and lifestyle and accessory design. Diploma holders can enter the second year of B.E. through lateral entry using the DCET route.

Postgraduate applicants need a relevant bachelor's degree with at least 50 percent marks. M.Tech admission is based on GATE or the Karnataka PGCET, while MBA and MCA admission is based on KMAT or PGCET. After allotment, candidates should complete document verification and fee payment at the institute office. Those who also want accommodation should apply for a hostel seat early, because boys and girls hostels are separate and allotment is limited.

Candidates can start by reviewing the fee structure for each quota.

Then check whether a financial aid route is open to them on the scholarship page.

To judge realistic chances, compare previous closing ranks on the cutoff page.

To see how many seats each branch offers, use the intake details page.

Questions on dates and counselling schedules can be directed to the institute on 0831-2405500 or 0831-2441909.
