Courses Offered at KLS Gogte Institute of Technology
Beyond engineering, the institute runs a five-year Bachelor of Architecture, a four-year Bachelor of Design with specialisations in Communication Design, Fashion Design, Industrial Design and Lifestyle and Accessory Design, and a four-year B.Sc (Hons) programme. At postgraduate level it offers M.Tech in Structural Engineering, Machine Design, Computer Science and Engineering and Digital Communication and Networking, a two-year MBA and a two-year MCA. Doctoral research is available through VTU-recognised research centres.
| Course | Duration | Approx. Annual Fee (INR) |
|---|---|---|
| B.E. CSE / CSE (AI&ML) / ECE (COMEDK) | 4 Years | 3,01,100 |
| B.E. Mechanical / EEE / Aeronautical (COMEDK) | 4 Years | 1,89,390 |
| B.E. Civil Engineering (COMEDK) | 4 Years | 1,39,390 |
| B.E. All Branches (KCET Government Quota) | 4 Years | 1,13,205 |
| B.Des (COMEDK) | 4 Years | 1,89,390 |
| M.Tech | 2 Years | 68,500 |
| MBA / MCA | 2 Years | 58,470 |
The fee depends on the admission route. Government-quota seats allotted through KCET carry the lowest tuition, while seats filled through COMEDK carry a higher notified fee that also includes a fixed amount of other charges. Computer science, AI and ML and electronics branches sit at the top of the COMEDK scale, whereas civil engineering is the most affordable. Multiplying the annual figure by four gives the approximate four-year outlay, and families should also budget for hostel, mess and transport costs. The complete year-wise breakdown is available on the course fee structure page.
The curriculum follows an outcome-based approach with a choice-based credit system, project-based learning, industry-endorsed electives, honours and minor tracks and a strong emphasis on internships. Students are encouraged to take up live industry projects and a final-year industry internship, and the institute maintains partnerships with companies across software, electronics, manufacturing, aerospace and construction. Specialised laboratories such as the Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, materials testing and CAD/CAM facilities support practical learning in every branch.
Postgraduate admission is routed through GATE and the Karnataka PGCET for M.Tech, and through KMAT or PGCET for MBA and MCA, with graduates needing at least 50 percent marks. Diploma holders can also join the second year of B.E. through lateral entry. Prospective students should confirm the latest eligibility and seat availability on the admission eligibility page.
Review how each branch ranks in demand on the cutoff page before applying.
