BAMS Admissions at Mahaganapati AMC Dharwad – Eligibility, Process, and Documents

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for BAMS admission at Mahaganapati AMC, candidates must have passed the 10+2 / 2nd PUC / Intermediate Science examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as subjects, passing each subject individually, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in PCB for General category candidates (40% for SC, ST, and Karnataka OBC Category-1, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B candidates). Candidates holding a B.Sc Part I degree from a recognized university with PCB and English are also eligible if they hold a 2nd PUC in the same subjects. A candidate must be at least 17 years of age on or before December 31 of the year of admission. Qualification in NEET UG with the requisite percentile cutoff is mandatory for all seats. Out-of-state candidates must obtain an eligibility certificate from RGUHS, Bangalore, before participating in KEA counselling.

Counselling Process

BAMS seats at Mahaganapati AMC Dharwad are filled through two centralized counselling streams. The 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats are managed by the AYUSH Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC) through its online counselling portal (aaccc.gov.in), open to candidates from all states. The remaining 85% of seats — including Government Quota seats in private colleges, Management Quota seats (40% of total private college seats), and NRI Quota seats — are managed by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) through the Karnataka AYUSH NEET Counselling process (kea.kar.nic.in). KEA counselling is conducted in multiple rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Mop-up Round, and Stray Vacancy Round. Choice filling in Round 1 is carried forward to subsequent rounds automatically, and candidates cannot add new choices in later rounds.

• Transfer Certificate and Conduct Certificate from last attended institution
• Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/Category 1/2A/2B/3A/3B) issued by competent authority, if applicable
• Karnataka Domicile / Residency Certificate (for Karnataka State Quota candidates)
• KEA Registration confirmation and fee-paid challan copy
• Undertaking on Rs. 20 e-stamp paper as per KEA instructions
• RGUHS Eligibility Certificate (for out-of-state candidates only)
• Passport-size photographs (recent)
• Aadhaar Card or other valid government-issued photo ID

All original documents and two attested copies must be produced at the college at the time of document verification and admission confirmation. Upon verification, candidates pay the first-year fee to confirm their seat.
