BAMS Programme at Mahaganapati Ayurvedic Medical College Dharwad – Course Details

Programme Structure and Duration

The BAMS programme is 5.5 years in total. The first 4 years and 6 months consist of academic instruction structured across four professional RGUHS examinations — First BAMS, Second BAMS, Third BAMS Part I, and Third BAMS Part II. The final year is a compulsory rotating internship during which students rotate through all major clinical departments of the Mahaganapati Ayurvedic Teaching Hospital. The medium of instruction is English and Sanskrit in accordance with RGUHS and NCISM curriculum regulations. Upon successful completion of all professional examinations and the internship, RGUHS awards the Ayurvedacharya (BAMS) degree.
