Various central government fellowships and scholarships accessible via the NIT Delhi Scholarship Cell and National Scholarship Portal. Covers UGC fellowships, DST fellowships, and ministry-specific schemes.

SC/ST/OBC students pursuing M.Tech or Ph.D. at NIT Delhi

GATE Teaching Assistantship (TA Stipend) — M.Tech

AICTE/MHRD mandated TA stipend for M.Tech GATE scholars at all NITs including NIT Delhi. Effectively covers all expenses. SC/ST students receive both tuition waiver and TA stipend.

Full-time M.Tech GATE-qualified students; CGPA ≥ 7.0; 20 hours/week TA duty

Partial tuition remission for economically backward students. Annual income certificate required. Reduces annual tuition burden by 66.7%.

2/3rd of tuition fee waived — pay only Rs. 20,833/semester instead of Rs. 62,500
Merit-cum-Means Scholarship
