NAAC Accreditation
AICTE Approval and UGC Recognition
The management and computer application programmes of the institute are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, which is the regulator for BBA, BCA, MBA and MCA programmes in the country. The institute is also recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956, which confirms its status as a recognised higher education institution. These approvals are important for students because they support the validity of degrees for government jobs, higher studies and professional registration.
University Affiliation and Autonomy
The institute is affiliated to Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), Indore and Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), Bhopal, and it operates as an autonomous institute. Autonomy allows the institute to frame its own syllabi, run its own internal assessment and publish its own academic calendar and examination schedule, while degrees are awarded within the framework of its affiliating universities.
State Classification and National Frameworks
The Government of Madhya Pradesh has approved the institute as an 'A' category institute, and the institute has been recognised as the oldest self-finance institution of the state by CMAI Asia. The institute has also participated in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) and publishes its management data report, along with AISHE data, annual reports and AQAR submissions through its Internal Quality Assurance Cell. Rankings published by media houses and ranking agencies vary from year to year and use different methodologies, so students should compare more than one source.
When judging an institute, applicants should place more weight on accreditation status, approvals, faculty, placement outcomes and fees than on a single rank. The cost side of this comparison is covered in the course fee structure, and the outcome side is covered under placements and careers. To explore this further, see the course fee structure.
Admission to the institute is routed through state counselling, and details of eligibility and the process are available on the admission process page. To explore this further, see the admission process.
