University School of Information and Communication Technology (USICT), established in 1999, is the premier engineering school of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU). Located on the 78-acre main campus at Sector 16C, Dwarka, New Delhi, it is the flagship technology institution of IP University — a public state university established by the Government of NCT of Delhi in 1998. USICT offers B.Tech+M.Tech (Dual Degree) programs in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), and Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), as well as M.Tech and MCA programs. With an annual intake of 379 students across programs, USICT is one of the most sought-after government engineering schools in Delhi-NCR. USICT (University School of Information and Communication Technology) is a constituent school directly under GGSIPU's main campus at Sector 16C, Dwarka, New Delhi. Unlike affiliated colleges (like MAIT, MSIT, BPIT), USICT is directly run by the university, offering the most prestigious and competitive seats within the GGSIPU ecosystem. Lower JEE Main ranks are required to secure a seat at USICT compared to most affiliated colleges.
USICT offers B.Tech+M.Tech (Dual Degree, 6 years) in CSE, IT, and ECE; M.Tech in CSE (2 years); MCA (2 years); and PhD programs in CS/IT/ECE. All B.Tech programs are Dual Degree (combined B.Tech+M.Tech). Admission to B.Tech is through JEE Main only (IPU CET no longer accepted for B.Tech except Biotechnology).
For B.Tech+M.Tech CSE at USICT in 2024, the General category closing rank was approximately 18,626 (Delhi Region) and 11,425 (Outside Delhi/AIQ). For IT, it was approximately 41,190 (Delhi) and 24,507 (AIQ). CSE is the most competitive branch.
Total B.Tech (4 years) tuition fee for IT at USICT is approximately Rs. 4 lakhs. For the 6-year B.Tech+M.Tech dual degree, total fee ranges from Rs. 5.52 lakhs to Rs. 8.51 lakhs.
