Courses Offered at UPRTOU, Prayagraj

Most undergraduate and postgraduate programmes admit students directly on a merit basis without any entrance examination, with eligibility generally set at 10+2 pass for Bachelor's programmes and Graduation for Master's programmes; a few programmes such as BCA, B.Sc. and the M.Sc./M.A. streams carry additional subject-specific eligibility conditions. Programme fees, as notified in the university's official Admission Information Brochure 2026-27, range from as little as Rs. 3,000 per year for certificate and non-credit programmes to Rs. 20,000 per year for the professional MBA and MCA programmes, making UPRTOU's course fees markedly lower than most conventional and private universities.

All courses follow a credit-based system (1 credit equals approximately 30 hours of learning), with a mix of compulsory core papers, ability-enhancement and skill-enhancement courses, and elective/discipline-specific papers, most recently restructured under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 framework with a semester system for both UG and PG programmes. Self-Learning Material is dispatched by registered post after admission, and learners can choose to forgo printed material in exchange for a 15% tuition fee rebate.
