Registration and Willingness for Round 2

Fresh registration for candidates who have not applied earlier is open from 3 September to 5 September 2026, up to 5:00 PM. Separately, all candidates, both newly registering and previously registered, must submit their willingness to participate in Round 2 between 3 September and 7 September 2026, up to 5:00 PM.

  • Submission of consent/willingness is mandatory to be considered for Round 2 counselling.
  • Candidates allotted a seat in Round 1 who wish to remain in contention for Round 2 upgradation must also submit this willingness.
  • The willingness process is directly tied to depositing the requisite security amount, as per the rules published on the MCC website.
  • Objections against the provisional merit list can only be submitted in person at the BFUHS Admission Branch, Faridkot, along with supporting documents; objections sent by other means will not be considered for the merit list stage.

Merit List, Choice Filling and Seat Allotment Process

BFUHS will display the provisional merit list for Round 2 on 8 September 2026, covering both fresh applicants and previously registered candidates who gave their willingness. Candidates can raise objections in person by 3:00 PM on 9 September 2026, after which a revised merit list, if required, will be published the same day.

Online choice filling for course, college, quota, and category opens on 8 September and closes on 10 September 2026, up to 5:00 PM. Once the deadline passes, choices are locked automatically, and the university has clarified that no request to modify choices after this point will be entertained.

Seat allotment will then be processed on 11 and 12 September 2026, based on merit, submitted choices, and applicable counselling rules, with the provisional seat allotment result to be displayed on 12 September 2026. Fees for Round 2 Counselling

Candidates who already paid a security deposit of more than Rs 10,000 (Rs 5,000 for SC/BC) for government colleges, or Rs 2,00,000 for private institutions, in Round 1 are not required to pay the security deposit again for Round 2. Those allotted a Round 1 seat and continuing to Round 2 will have their earlier security amount adjusted and will only need to pay the remaining tuition fee.

Who Is Eligible for Round 2 Seat Allotment?

As per the official notice, candidates from the following groups are eligible for consideration in Round 2:

  • Group I: Registered candidates who did not receive any seat allotment in Round 1.
  • Group II: Candidates whose Round 1 allotted seat was cancelled during document verification at reporting; these candidates will be considered with a changed category, subject to seat availability in that category.
  • Group III: Candidates who reported to their allotted institute in Round 1 and marked Yes for Round 2 upgradation willingness.
  • Group IV: Candidates allotted a seat in Round 1 but who did not join.
  • Group V: Candidates who resigned online, within the applicable timeframe, from their Round 1 allotted seat.

Candidates who became ineligible due to incomplete documentation under Punjab Government or MCC-UG eligibility criteria, or who never registered in either Round 1 or Round 2, are not eligible for Round 2 seat allotment.

Important Rules Candidates Should Know

  • Choices submitted during Round 1 are treated as null and void; candidates must submit entirely fresh choices for Round 2.
  • A candidate allotted a seat in Round 2 who fails to report or join may exit, but the security deposit will be forfeited in such cases.
  • Candidates who do not join their Round 2 allotted seat remain eligible for further rounds, but their Round 2 security deposit is forfeited, and they must register afresh with a new security deposit for Round 3.
  • The security deposit is refunded only if no seat is allotted in Round 2.

What Should Round 1 Candidates Do Now?

  • Allotted a seat and want to stay: No fresh action is required beyond standard Round 1 formalities already completed.
  • Allotted a seat but want an upgrade: Ensure Round 2 willingness is submitted with Yes for upgradation, and prepare to fill fresh choices between 8 and 10 September.
  • Did not get a seat in Round 1: Submit Round 2 willingness within the window and proceed with choice filling once eligible.
  • Seat cancelled at document verification: You remain eligible under Group II, subject to seat availability in your changed category.
  • Resigned from a Round 1 seat: You are eligible under Group V, provided the resignation was completed online within the applicable timeframe.
