KMCRI Bharuch is a Private Self-Finance medical college operating under the Brownfield PPP (Public-Private Partnership) model as per Gujarat Health Policy 2016. It is managed by Rudraksh Academy Private Limited (RAPL), Vadodara. Under this model, the Government of Gujarat has provided the New Civil Hospital Campus, Bharuch (including land, buildings, and staff) on a 33-year lease to RAPL. It is affiliated to Veer Narmad South Gujarat University and NMC-approved. It is the only medical college in Bharuch district.
As per the FRC (Fee Regulatory Committee) Order 2025-26: State Quota (Government seats) fee is ₹9.50 Lakhs/year (~₹42.75 Lakhs total for 4.5 years). Management Quota fee is ₹19.00 Lakhs/year (~₹85.50 Lakhs total). NRI Quota fee is ₹22.50 Lakhs/year (~₹1.01 Crore total). Note: For students admitted in earlier years (2020-24), the fee was lower: State Quota ₹6.85 Lakhs/year (total ~₹30.82 Lakhs, as confirmed by Shiksha). FRC fees apply to newly admitted batches each year. Hostel and mess are additional (~₹85,000/year approx.).

Year-on-year General HS trend: 2022 – 2,67,334; 2023 – 85,393; 2024 – 1,03,667. A NEET score of approximately 520+ marks is generally required for State Quota General category admission.
KMCRI has 200 MBBS seats per year (200 from AY 2022-23; started with 150 in AY 2020-22). Quota distribution: State Quota (Government Seats – 50%): ~100 seats; Management Quota (35%): ~70 seats; NRI Quota (15%): ~30 seats. All three quotas are filled through ACPUGMEC, Government of Gujarat counselling (medadmgujarat.org). No direct/back-door admissions.
