It was established in 1952 as a Cottage Hospital and is the primary referral hospital for DNH & DD UT. OPDs are operational Mon–Sat (morning and afternoon sessions). Specialist OPDs include: General Medicine, Surgery, ENT, Paediatrics, Neonatology, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Neurosurgery, Dental (with maxillofacial surgery, endodontics, periodontology), and more.
