Maharashtra State Government Scholarships
Students from reserved categories - Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Special Backward Classes (SBC), Economically Backward Classes (EBC), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), and Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) - are eligible for Maharashtra State Government scholarships administered by the Social Justice and Special Assistance Department. These are credited directly to eligible students' accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Students must apply through the Maharashtra state scholarship portal within declared deadlines.
Post-Matric Scholarship for SC/ST Students
SC/ST students admitted to BAMS, MD/MS (Ayu.), or other programmes at CARC are eligible for the Post-Matric Scholarship from the Government of Maharashtra. This covers tuition fees and maintenance allowance as per government norms. Applications must be submitted through the Mahadbte portal (mahadbte.net.in) within the stipulated deadlines. The college's administrative office provides support in completing the scholarship process.
Central Government Scholarship Schemes
Students may also apply through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) at scholarships.gov.in for centrally sponsored schemes including Post-Matric Scholarships for SC students (Ministry of Social Justice), Post-Matric Scholarships for ST students (Ministry of Tribal Affairs), scholarships for OBC and EBC students, Minority community scholarships (Ministry of Minority Affairs), and Central Sector Scholarships for merit-based financial support.
FRA Regulated Fee Concessions
The fee structure at CARC is regulated by the Fee Regulating Authority (FRA), Mumbai. FRA-approved fees for BAMS and MD/MS (Ayurveda) are published annually and are available on the official website. If the FRA-approved fee for any year is lower than the interim fee deposited, the difference is refunded to students as per FRA guidelines. This ensures that students pay only what is officially approved and do not overpay. How to Apply for Scholarships
Students should register on the Maharashtra state scholarship portal or the National Scholarship Portal (scholarships.gov.in). Required documents include caste and validity certificate, non-creamy layer certificate (for OBC/SBC), income certificate, domicile certificate, previous marksheets, Aadhaar card, and bank account details. Applications must be submitted online within notified deadlines. Students should follow up with the college scholarship coordinator for institutional verification.
