Admissions at MAM's Sumatibhai Shah Ayurved Mahavidyalaya – 2025-26
MAM's SSAM, Hadapsar, Pune, follows a transparent and merit-based admission process for all its programmes, governed by the State Common Entrance Test Cell (Maharashtra), Admission Regulating Authority (ARA), Maharashtra, and the guidelines of MUHS Nashik, NCISM, and the Department of AYUSH. Admissions are open to students from all states of India through both State Quota and All India Quota counselling.
BAMS Admission Process
Admission to the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) programme at SSAM is through the NEET UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) score. Candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as compulsory subjects with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC – Maharashtra domicile). The admission process involves centralised online counselling conducted by the State CET Cell, Maharashtra (cetcell.mahacet.org) and the Admission Regulating Authority (ARA), Maharashtra. Seats are distributed under State Quota, All India Quota, and Institutional Quota as per government norms.
MD / MS (Ayurveda) Admission Process
Post Graduate admissions (MD/MS Ayurveda and PG Diploma) at SSAM are based on the AIAPGET (All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test) score conducted by NTA. Eligible candidates must hold a BAMS degree from a recognised university. Merit-based counselling is conducted by the State CET Cell Maharashtra for state quota seats. The PG seat matrix across 13 disciplines with a total intake of 78 seats is made available on the official website before counselling. Fellowship Course Admissions
Fellowship course admissions at SSAM are conducted at the institutional level. Candidates must hold a BAMS or MD/MS (Ayu.) degree as applicable to the specific fellowship discipline. BAMS (2025-26): State Quota and All India Quota — Open Category: Rs. 1,98,000/- per annum | OBC/SBC: Rs. 99,000/- per annum | EBC/EWS/SEBC: Rs. 99,000/- per annum. MD/MS (Ayurveda) (2025-26): All categories (State and All India Quota) — Rs. 1,83,000/- per annum. Fee structure is approved by the Fee Regulating Authority (FRA), Mumbai, Maharashtra. Institutional Quota fee is as per the State Government letter dated 13/09/2024. State Government scholarship schemes are applicable to eligible students.
