NCISM Grade A Accreditation

SSAM has been awarded the prestigious Grade A accreditation by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM), New Delhi — the apex regulatory body for Indian Systems of Medicine. The NCISM Grade A status is one of the highest recognitions an Ayurvedic college can receive in India, reflecting excellence in faculty, infrastructure, clinical material, research, and academic outcomes. This accreditation enhances the value of degrees conferred by SSAM and instils confidence in prospective students, faculty, and healthcare employers.

NAAC Accreditation

The college is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), an autonomous body under the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India. NAAC accreditation evaluates institutions on criteria including Curricular Aspects, Teaching-Learning and Evaluation, Research Innovation and Extension, Infrastructure and Learning Resources, Student Support and Progression, Governance, and Institutional Values. SSAM actively maintains its Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and submits Annual Quality Assurance Reports (AQAR) regularly.

MUHS Affiliation and CCIM / AYUSH Recognition

All undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at SSAM are affiliated to and recognised by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik — the premier health sciences university of Maharashtra. All PG courses are additionally recognised by the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM), New Delhi, and the Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, ensuring that degrees conferred are valid nationally and internationally.

NIRF Participation

SSAM has participated in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in the Medical discipline, submitting data reports for 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021. NIRF is a ranking framework initiated by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, to rank institutions across India on metrics such as Teaching, Learning and Resources, Research and Professional Practice, Graduation Outcomes, Outreach and Inclusivity, and Perception.

Faculty and Student Awards and Achievements

In 2026, Principal Prof. Dr. Sachinkumar Sahebrao Patil received the Best Principal and Medical Director Award 2026 at the National Conference and Golden Aim Awards. Faculty members Dr. Sachinkumar Patil, Dr. Vivek Chaudhari, and Dr. Nitesh Joshi received awards for Clinical Excellence, Academic Excellence, and Research Excellence respectively at the Ayush Natural Viksit Maha Worlds Expo 2026, Pune. PG students have also won prizes at national seminars, including first prize in Essay Competition and prizes in Poster Presentation and Paper Presentation at inter-collegiate national events in 2026.
