Eligibility for undergraduate programmes requires a pass in Intermediate or an equivalent examination with at least 60 percent aggregate, and candidates should have been born on or after 1 July 2005. Admission to B.Tech, B.Pharmacy, B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture and Pharm.D is through the V-SAT online test, or through valid scores in JEE Main, JEE Advanced and AP or TS EAPCET. Postgraduate entry depends on the programme: M.Tech requires GATE, PGECET or VUGATE, MBA considers ICET, MAT or CAT scores or a written test, and MCA considers ICET ranks or high marks in the qualifying degree.
The curriculum follows an outcome-based education model with regular continuous assessment, laboratory work, mini projects and a physical fitness course that carries credits. Language and communication training is built into the first three years, and the Training and Placement cell runs soft skill sessions for second-year B.Tech students. Students can also pursue value-added courses and internships, and the university's collaboration with industry helps in aligning syllabi with employer expectations. Five engineering programmes are ABET accredited, which adds international recognition to the degree.
Tuition varies widely by programme. Category A fees for B.Tech range from Rs. 1,00,000 to Rs. 2,80,000 per year, while Category B fees range from Rs. 2,00,000 to Rs. 3,80,000 per year, and an admission fee of Rs. 20,000 applies in the first year. A programme-wise breakdown is available on the course fee page.
